Jean Perkins, age 77 of Amarillo died April 12, 2013 in Amarillo.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday April 15th at 10:00 AM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel. Mr. Johnnie Perkins of Ozona, Texas will officiate. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Jean was born in 1935 to Joseph and Lydia Hayes in Palaska, Texas. On June 1, 1953 she married the love of her soul mate, Jimmie Perkins at the Baptist Church in Estelline, Texas.
Jean was a devoted wife to Jimmie and a loving mother to her only daughter, Patti.
Jean loved life, especially when it came to spending time with family, camping in the mountains and sitting by the campfire. She also enjoyed shopping and spoiling the family at Christmas. She was beautiful inside and out. Her laughter was contagious and she never met a stranger. She was very passionate about her husband, daughter, son-in-law, precious grandchildren and only great grandson.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday afternoon from 4:00PM until 6:00 PM at 6405 Hinsdale in Amarillo.
Jean is survived by her husband Jimmie, of almost sixty years; her daughter Patti Oldham and husband Pete of Abilene; her grandchildren Morgan Oldham and Cassie Oldham and Brandon Rambo and one great grandson, Griffin Hayes Rambo all of Abilene.
