Jeanette Lynn Armstrong, 69, of Amarillo, went to meet her Heavenly Father on Monday, July 9, 2012.
A time to share memories and reflect with Mrs. Armstrong’s family and friends will be from 6-8:00 p.m., Friday, July 13 at Schooler Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 14 in San Jacinto Assembly of God Church, 400 N. Georgia with Rev. Billy Snider officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Jeanette was born July 20, 1942 in San Pedro, California, to Luke and Mildred Hensley. She had been in the Amarillo community for 45 years and was a member of San Jacinto Assembly of God. Jeanette had been employed as a purchaser by Texas Tech University Health Science Center and Northwest Texas Hospital for 23 years and served 12 years as a dispatcher for T-Miller Wrecker.
Jeanette enjoyed rock hunting, plants and flowers, all animals, and everything colorful. She was a friend to everyone and truly cared about people. Even in her suffering of the last years, she reached out to people and was more concerned about others than herself. She deeply cherished her family, friends, neighbors, and church community. With God’s grace, she will receive her crown of glory alongside those that she held so dear.
We thank you our Lord and Heavenly Father for all your blessings on our family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Mount; her step-dad, Carl Mount; a son, Paul Brown; and a grandson, Brylen Harper.
