Jeanne Mitchell

Jeanne Mitchell, 86, of Amarillo died December 19, 2012.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jim Shelburne of Washington Avenue Christian Church officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-7:00 p.m., Friday, December 21.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Jeanne was born November 21, 1926 in Amarillo to John and Elva Clark. She married Brian Mitchell in 1946. Jeanne worked for Construction Services from 1962 until her retirement in 1991. Mrs. Mitchell was an active member at Westminster Presbyterian Church since 1953. She was a past matron of the Bonita Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.  Jeanne was a 19 year volunteer for BSA Hospice. She was a beloved mother who loved her children, grandchildren, and her Lord.

The family would like to give special thanks to BSA Hospice and Conner House for all of the loving care they provided.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her husband, Brian; a son Keith Mitchell and his wife Kathy.

She is survived by her daughter Janet Hodge and husband Bill; a son, Larry Mitchell and wife Amber; six grandchildren, Patricia Mitchell, Ruthanna Curry and husband Eardie, Brandon Hodge and wife Holly, Cody Hodge and wife Krystal, Casey Simpson and husband Brent, and Gloria Mitchell; and 11 great grandchildren.
