Jeffrey Troy Kelly, age 45 of Houston, died January 17, 2011A Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel on Thursday, January 20th.A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church on Friday, January 21st. The celebrant will be Msgr. Joseph Tash. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South GeorgiaJeff was born December 7, 1965 in Amarillo. He attended Tascosa High School graduating in 1984. During his high school years he was active in Drama and was the Rebel Kid his junior and senior year.Jeff loved to make people laughed, he taught Comedy Defensive Driving in Amarillo and Lubbock for many years. As a stand-up comedian, he was also fortunate enough to open for Sam Kinison during his last tour. Jeff had an enormous heart and loved children. He spent many summers volunteering for MDA summer camps, bringing smiles to the children in hope of easing their burdens. Although Jeff loved all children, there was one in particular that captured his heart and that was his son Sam. Sam was Jeff’s pride and joy. There is no way to convey the love that Jeff held for Sam and how proud he was to be his dad.Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Jacquelyn in 1992, his grandparents Floyd and Joy Chapman; his aunt Judith Chapman; and his uncle Jimmy Joe Chapman.He is survived by his son Samuel Henry Kelly; Sam’s mother Sarah Kelly both of Houston; his father H.R. Kelly and wife Marcia of Amarillo; his brother John Kelly and wife Shelley of Amarillo; his sister, Dawn Van Noy and her husband Doug of Amarillo; his grandmother, Linda Kelly of Stoneham, MA; His aunts and uncles, Joan Barry and husband Edmond of Gulf Port, FL, John Christopher Kelly and wife Diana of Tampa, FL, Mary Ann Berube and husband Don of Peabody, MA, Joseph Martin Kelly of Stoneham, MA, Thomas Paul Kelly and wife Beverly of Westborough, MA, Dennis Michael Kelly and wife Jackie of Holly Spring, NC, Paula Maria Georgette and husband Robert of Burlington, MA, Kathy Rose De Carlo and husband Robert of Carver, MA, David Michael Kelly of Stoneham, MA, Margaret Elizabeth Kelly of Nasua, New Hampshire and Robert James Kelly and wife Marianne of Stoneham, MA, Joyce Chapman Austin and husband Raymond of Alamogordo, NM, Jean Chapman McGraw and husband Jim of Camby, Oregon, and Jana Chapman Hudson and husband Richard of Clovis, NM; and many adoring nieces and nephews.
