Jerry Greenroyd, 86, of Amarillo died December 20, 2020.
Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
Jerry was born September 5, 1934 in Carey, TX to William and Gertrude Greenroyd. He graduated from Amarillo High School then met and married the love of his life Barbara Ross on October 29, 1955. He was a longtime member of Central Church of Christ and was very involved in his Sunday School Class, bringing the donuts and making coffee. Jerry owned and operated Jerry’s Motors Company. He loved riding motorcycles and taking RV trips with his family. He had a servants heart and loved being with his wife, daughters and grandchildren. Jerry never met a stranger and was a devoted Christian, husband, father, and grandfather.
He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Gene and Mike.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara; daughters, Kay Stull (Kenneth) of Edmond, OK, Angie Schuster of Rockwall, TX, and Cher Kirk (Wesley) Argyle, TX; sister, Gaynell Arthur. Jerry was known to his grandchildren as “Poppy.” He absolutely loved his grandkids: Ryan, Kelsey, Brett, Bailee, Christian and Meredith; and great-grandchildren; Ellie, Brooks and one girl on the way.
