Jesse Francis Wilson, 88, of Amarillo died Saturday, January 21,2012, in Amarillo, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 25,2012, at Trinity Baptist Church
with Rev. Carey Skinner officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park under the care of Schooler
Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Jesse was born April S, 1923, in Hydro, Oklahoma, to Aldine and Gloria Wilson, and lived in
Amarillo since 1945. After serving in the Navy during WWII, he worked for Borden's Dairy before becoming an accomplished electrician, working for several electrical companies in Amarillo. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 63 years.
He spent many years as a volunteer for the Texas Baptist Men's Builders and was a member of
Amarillo Senior Citizens Association, 45 and Uppers and Trinity Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, bowler and domino player and loved to share in these activities with family and friends.
His parents and four brothers, Walter, Woody, Ira and Joedy, and a daughter-in-law, Arlene Wilson, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Ollie; a daughter, Kaye McColl and husband Don; two sons, David
and Gary all of Amarillo; a step-daughter, Pam Foster and husband Ronnie of Bayfield,
Colorado; three step-sons, Mike Davis and wife Jean of San Marcos, Texas, Pat Davis and wife
Shari of Richmond; Texas and Sean Davis and wife Dawn of Amarillo; 20 Grandchildren, 29
Great-Grandchildren, 4 Great-Great Grandchildren and a sister Imogene Cleek of Kearney,
Missouri.
The family suggests memorials to Ware Living Center, BSA Hospice or Trinity Baptist Church.
