Jessie Mae Sugg

December 9, 1920 — June 24, 2010

A visitation will be held on Friday June 25, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m at Schooler Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday June 26, 2010 at 10:00a.m. at Brentwood Chapel of Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Mr. Wayne Roy will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at Llano Cemetery, Amarillo, Texas. Jessie was born to Robert and Alice Barton on December 9, 1920 in Wellington, Texas. She was an LVN at NWTH for many years before working for Dr. E.W. Cain, Dr. Earl Mann, and Dr. Maurice Mann. Jessie was a member of Second Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, needlework, and reading during her spare time. Jessie loved to go camping, making ceramics and cooking for her friends and family. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and will be missed dearly.  She is preceded in death by husband Thomas Kelly Sugg; parents Robert and Alice Barton; sister Essie Lee (Barton) Roach and grandson Steven Wayne Nipper.She is survived by son Fred Nipper and wife Brenda of Amarillo, daughters Rita Roy and husband Wayne of Abilene, and Rhonda Zamora of Amarillo; six grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to BSA Hospice/Olivia’s Angels at P.O. Box 950 Amarillo, Texas 79176.
