Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Claude Cemetery in Claude, Texas with Rev. Delbert Surratt officiating. She will be in state in the Armstrong Chapel of Claude on Wednesday from 10-4. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Earlene began her heavenly journey Monday, December 26, 2011. She was born September 17, 1924 in Amarillo to James Manson Roe and Clarice Goad Roe. She grew up in Amarillo and was a 1943 graduate of Amarillo High School.
She married Floyd Earl Crownover, her husband of 61 years of Claude on February 27, 1945. She was a homemaker during their life together in Armstrong County and Claude for 59 years until his death in February, 2006. She was a resident of St. Anns Nursing Home at Panhandle.
Earlene was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and two sisters, Myrle Murphy of Irving and Darlene Williams of San Bernadino, CA.
She is survived by one son, Jim Crownover and wife Wanda of Lubbock; two daughters, Phyllis Westbrook and husband Holland of Claude and Patricia Turnbow of Amarillo, 10 grandchildren, Jennifer and Chad Evans of Plains, KA, Earl and Jolene Westbrook of Claude, Sam and Heather Pennington, Henry Pennington, Charlotte and Colby Lee, R.C. Turnbow, all of Carrollton, TX; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
