Jody Eugene Baker, 35, died Sunday, December 25.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28 at South Georgia Baptist Church. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Jody was born to Steve and Kathy Baker in Amarillo on August 2, 1976. He graduated from Caprock High School in 1995 and then graduated from paramedic school in 1998 and the Fire Academy in 2005. He has been a volunteer firefighter for the Randall County Fire Department since 1996. He worked for AMS from 2000 until 2008 when he began his employment with Pantex as a firefighter.
Jody was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Dorothy Baker and an uncle, Douglas Baker.
He is survived by his wife, Erin; a son, Hunter; a daughter, Lauren; his parents; two brothers, Jeremy Baker and wife, Jill, and Justin Baker and wife, Jenny; grandparents, Ralph and Margaret Bradley; his aunts and uncles, Ralph and Karen Bradley, Randy and Kaye Bradley, and Billy and Linda Sutton; two nieces, Madison Baker and Lily Wade; four nephews, Keaton and Riley Baker and Landon and Grant Stewart; cousins, Blake, Tanner, Ryan, and Kevin Bradley and Bryan and Brandon Sutton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8:00 p.m. today.
Memorials may be made to the college fund for Hunter and Lauren Baker c/o Amarillo National Bank.
