Joe Eugene Moore

Joe Moore, age 83, of Amarillo, died October 3, 2023 in Amarillo.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 South Georgia.

Joe was born June 22, 1940, in Bicknell, Indiana, to his parents, Cecil and Dorothy Nicholson Moore.

On October 1, 1960, he married his love, Patricia S. Newman, in Roswell, New Mexico.  The couple would spend the next sixty-three years together through the good and tough times.

Joe worked for Affiliated Foods for over thirty years, retiring as the Director of Operations.  He was a dedicated and hard worker.  It was important to him to be a good provider for his family.

Joe enjoyed golf and fishing at Buffalo Lake and Greenbelt.  He also liked speed and raced super modified cars.

His parents and his siblings, Jim, Lucille, and Ronnie, preceded him in death.

Joe is survived by his wife Patricia; his three sons, Perry Moore of Bar Harbor, Maine; Alan Moore, and Greg Moore, both of Amarillo; a sister Delilah Hawkins; three brothers, Charles “Chuck”, Benny, and Wesley Paul Moore; his five grandchildren, Tristian, Brandon, Kayla, Hannah, and Vincent; and two great-grandchildren, Noah and Avery.
