Joe Edwin Vaughn

Joe E. Vaughn, 77, of Amarillo, died Saturday, January 16, 2016.
Memorial Services will be 3:30 P.M. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at First Baptist Church Chapel. Private interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia Amarillo, Texas 79110.
Joe was born July 24, 1938 in Pampa to Cleo and Ruby Vaughn. He graduated from Amarillo High and received his Bachelor’s degree from West Texas State University. He also received his Master’s degree from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. Joe owned and operated a plumbing company at one time as well as being a preacher, a teacher and worked in the insurance industry. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Joe was also an avid golfer and loved dancing with various groups.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Joe is survived by one daughter, Melanie Morgan and husband Greg of Highlands Ranch, CO; two sons, David Vaughn and wife Vivian and Barry Vaughn and wife Sandy, all of Amarillo; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren and dear friend, Marcia Morgan.
