John (Johnny) B. Garrison Jr, 67, left his home in Amarillo to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 20, 2015.
No services are scheduled. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia St.
Johnny was born June 24, 1947, in Amarillo to Brack and Billy Garrison.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Steve Garrison.
Survivors include a daughter, Stacy Dixon and her husband Darrell, of Boerne; a granddaughter, Kylee Dixon; two grandsons, Tucker Dixon and Quaid Dixon, all of Boerne; a brother Mike Garrison and his wife Alma, of Forney; three nephews, Marc Garrison and his wife Tina; grand nephews Grant Garrison and Cody Garrison, all of Sweeney; Matt Garrison of Moore, Okla. and Mitch Garrison and grand nephew Wriggley, of Tulsa, Okla.; and many other relatives and friends.
He was a graduate of Tascosa High School in 1965 and attended Amarillo College and WTSU graduating with a degree in accounting. Over the years, he worked at several different occupations from gun smith to restaurant manager, but found a job he that he loved selling motorcycles to all his friends in the Panhandle. His passions were anything that would race fast, go off road,and fishing. Though he will be missed, he lives on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
