John Alan Golightly, 48, of Amarillo, died January 9, 2013.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 11, 2013 at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch Chapel, with Chaplain Mike Wilhelm officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
John was born July 29, 1964 in Amarillo. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1982. He received his BBA and MBA from West Texas A & M University in Canyon. Formerly with Diamond Shamrock, he spent the remainder of his career at Boys Ranch where he most recently served as the Senior Director of Direct Marketing. John was passionate about his work, his children and enjoyed golfing, politics and tennis.
John was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents Frank and Ruby Spalding, Paternal Grandparents, John and Viola Golightly.
He is survived by his children Madison Golightly and fiancé Anthony Gaby of Haslet, Wilson Golightly of Amarillo; the mother of his children Rhonda Osmus of Amarillo; parents John and Sharla Golightly of Frisco; sisters, Laurie Pace of Amarillo and Alison Walker of Terrell; niece Brittany Pace of Frisco and nephew August Walker of Terrell; his loving friends and family at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, and numerous other relatives and friends.
