Johnnie N. Land, 70, of Amarillo, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018.
Celebration of Life services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Trinity Fellowship North Campus, 503 E. Willow Creek Drive. A private interment will be held in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Johnnie was born on July 22, 1947 in Amarillo to John and Donna Land. He worked as a concrete contractor for most of his life. He was called the O.G.C. (Original Gangster of Concrete). He was very artistic in all that he did. Some of his hobbies included wrestling, golf, motorcycles and playing bingo. Johnnie lived a colorful life. He was a giver in every sense of the word. He loved helping others. Johnnie was a devout Christian. He was described as being a ‘walking billboard for Jesus’. He was a member of Trinity Fellowship North.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Deanna Asher.
Johnnie is survived by three daughters, Rhonda Erb and husband Tim, Robin McFarland and husband Todd, and Meagan Boydstun, all of Amarillo; one son, Rodney Doyle and wife April of Allen; 15 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be made to the Zoey Zint Memorial fund at Amarillo Community Credit Union.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at the funeral home.
