Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Trinity United Methodist Church with Pastor Josh Kouri and Dr. Rev. Douglas Mills officiating. Honors will follow at The Texas War Memorial Park. Arrangements by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Joe was born April 23, 1932 in Shamrock, TX to Joseph A. Graham and Florrie F Graham. He moved to Denver, Colorado in 1934. He attended school in Denver and joined the Marine Corps in September 1950. He participated in combat operations as an artillery man in Korea and Vietnam before retiring as a Sgt Major in September 1979. He also retired from Pantex in 1994. He belonged to several square dance clubs; the Caprock cruisers motor home club, the Amarillo Police Dept. Handicap patrol, WPS (widowed persons service), and drove a golf cart for the Northwest Texas Hospital auxiliary.
One of the things that Joe was very proud of is that he and each of his two sons traveled to foreign lands and engaged in combat operations in three different wars to uphold American values.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Joan L Noble.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; two sons, John Darrell Graham and wife Rebekah of Bremerton, Washington and Jeffery Allen Graham and wife Andrea of Dallas, TX; and three grandchildren, Samantha, John-Brendon and Megan.
