Josephine Schaffer

Josephine Schaffer passed away on January 6, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas. 

Funeral Service will be at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 18, 2025, with Rev. Beverly Couzzourt officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4200 S Georgia.

Josephine was born October 15, 1931, in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England, to Harry and Ethel Ross. She married Clifford Schaffer on November 12, 1955, and immigrated to Texas. Josephine was a homemaker for a number of years prior to going to work at Eva's and Colbert's before retiring in 1982. 

Josephine is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Schaffer, her parents, and her Brother, Bernard Ross.

She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Schaffer of Amarillo; two sons, Kim B Schaffer and wife Cynthia of Falls Church, Virginia, and Dale A Schaffer and wife Susan of Monument, Colorado. Five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 

The family requests memorials be made to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Amarillo, Texas, or  St. Jude's Hospital.
