Joyce M. Hamilton, 88, of Amarillo died, January 6, 2014.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 11, 2014 in Arden Road Baptist Church with Pastor Dale Bigham and Pastor Ricky Griffin of Trinity Fellowship Church officiating. Interment will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Joyce was born August 27, 1925 in Gilmer, Texas to Elvin and Essie Shaw. She was a member of Arden Road Baptist Church and Sand Hill Baptist Church where her father was a deacon.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and husband, Hugh W. Hamilton.
She is survived by a son, Charles Price; two daughters, Brenda Smith and husband Jackie and Jeannie Fuller all of Amarillo; her sister, Melba Jean Archer; her brother, Eddie Shaw and wife Dixie; her grandchildren, Mark Bane and wife Marcia, Stephanie Cox and husband Thomas, Jackie Smith Jr. and wife Christina, and Sonja Smith and husband Chub; eight great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Friday, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
