Junnie Jones (Mother Jones), 93, of Amarillo passed away November 1, 2020.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2020 at Comanche Trail Church of Christ, 2700 E. 34th Ave. Interment will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
Junnie was born June 19, 1927 in Elkhart, TX to Claude and Dora (Dawson) Moseley. She was one of six kids. Junnie was raised in Goree, TX then moved to Lubbock, TX in 1940 where she worked in the cotton fields. She married R.D. Draper in Lubbock, TX in 1942 and together, they had 4 kids.
Junnie moved to Amarillo, TX in 1958 where she started working at Sybil B. Harrington as a housekeeper at The LaTour. She met Raymond Cloudy, whom she later gave birth to his son, Raymond Cloudy, Jr. Junnie started working as a couriator for Don & Sybil Harrington at the Harrington House Museum. She retired after 16 years there. She remarried Joe Jones in 1992. Junnie lived a blessed life to the age of 93. Her favorite song was “I Know It Was The Blood.” She was a member of Jerusalem Church of God in Christ, her church family knew her as “Mother of Church.” Junnie was the District Hospitality President and on the gift committee.

She is preceded in death by her parents; children, R.L. Draper and Betty Draper; and siblings, Effie Mae Foster, Lenette Richardson, Luveria Campbell, Lucy Russell, Freddy Epps, and James Mosley.
Junnie is survived by children, Rosie Rogers of Amarillo, TX; sons, Alvin Draper and wife, Edith of Lubbock, TX and Raymond Cloudy, Jr. and wife, Tanya of Amarillo, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, relatives and friends.
