Karen Stafford, 59, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 31 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel with Davlyn Duesterhaus, BSA Staff Chaplain, officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Karen was born February 28, 1952, in Bakersfield, California, to Lucean and Joann Poteet. She worked as a registered nurse at Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospital and demonstrated a very loving and tender touch with her patients. Her creative humor, heartfelt laugh, and caring voice when calling her loved ones “honey” will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Laura Poteet.
Survivors include two daughters, Scarlett Seitz and husband, David of Lubbock, and Misty Bradshaw and husband, Chris of Amarillo; two sons, Hugh Reed and wife Jennifer, and Luke Stafford, all of Amarillo; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Kimberly Grotz and Melissa Larratt both of California; her Mom, Nancy Poteet, and many loving friends.
