Kathleen Mary Colwell
October 3, 1924 — July 19, 2009
Kathleen was born in Ballyhaunis County Mayo, Ireland to John and Mary Ellen Grogan. In 1950 she moved to the United States and married, James R. Colwell on November 5, 1955 at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Kathleen worked as a nurse and x-ray technician at St. Anthony’s Hospital for many years. She devoted her life to the care of her family whom she adored. Kathleen was a life time member of St. Laurence Cathedral.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary E. Grogan, a sister, Bridgette and a brother-in-law Roscoe King; a brother, John Grogan; and a sister-in-law, Mary Grogan.
She is survived by her husband, James R. Colwell of Borger; three daughters, Mary Porubsky and her husband Dr. Gary Porubsky of Lafayette, LA, Erin Bergin and her husband David of Gruver, TX and Kathie Harbison of Guymon, OK; son, Msgr. Michael Colwell of Borger, TX; and a sister Christine Cantrell and her husband Mark of Borger, TX; six grandchildren, Katelyn, Lauren, Alexandra, John David, Deirdra and William.
