Kathryn Matlock

Funeral Services will be Friday, October 14, 2011 at 3 pm at Comanche Trail Church of Christ with Loran Harper & Jerry Klein officiating.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Kathryn Wallace Matlock passed to eternity this evening at 6:40pm after a brief illness.  She was born in Mt Enterprise, Texas on February 25, 1920 to Allen Luther & Myrtie Kathryn Madden Wallace.  They moved to Sweetwater, Oklahoma area about 1925 where she later graduated from Sweetwater High School.  She married Roy Edward Matlock on November 29, 1941.  They celebrated 62 years of marriage before Roy passed away in February, 2004.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Joe, Howard & Julian, her husband Roy, and her son, James Edward (Jim) in 2005.

She is survived by her brother Gordon & wife Irene of Wichita Falls,a sister-in-law Coy Wallace of Oklahoma City, OK; a brother in law Thomas Matlock of Ardmore, Ok, daughter, Judy Matlock Coomer of Amarillo, her daughter-in-law, Lois Matlock of Watauga. Grandchildren Ed Matlock of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Angela Matlock Keller & Husband Eldon of Ft Worth, Kathy Matlock Strickland & husband Vern of Ft Worth. Tracey Coomer of Austin, Debbie Coomer Morrison & husband Joe of Amarillo, Margie Coomer Gunnels of Amarillo and a very special granddaughter, Cynthia Matlock of Amarillo.
10 great grandchildren-- David Matlock, Andrew & Daniel Keller, Nathan, Grace & Sarah Strickland.  Kathryn & Hannah Morrison, & Nicholas & Mattie Gunnels.  Numerous nieces & nephews and many friends.
