Kenneth Deaton

Kenneth was born Sept. 10, 1936, in Claude. He grew up in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High School. He served in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C. Kenneth married Paula Salkeld on Aug. 2, 1957 in Amarillo. He was in the carpet business for more than 35 years. He was preceded in death by his father, H.D. Deaton.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Deaton; his mother, Phylis Deaton; a son, Kevin Deaton and wife Sheri of Rockwall; two daughters, Kim Aryal of Weatherford and Karla Stoffle of Arlington; four grandchildren, John Flovin, Trisha Flovin, Madison Deaton and Dolan Stoffle; and his best friend and cousin, Dan Best.
