Kenneth Andrew Knapp Sr

Kenneth Andrew Knapp, Sr., age 80 of Amarillo, died May 31, 2016.
Funeral Mass will be on Friday, June 3rd at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. Scott Raef as celebrant. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Kenneth was born September 4, 1935 in Jersey City, NJ to Oscar Arthur and Dorothy Theresa Arnold Knapp. He served in the US Air Force from 1953 until he was honorably discharged in 1960. It was while he was stationed at the Amarillo Air Force that he met Patty Ann Maloney. They were married on December 29, 1954. The couple soon started their family which consisted of eight wonderful children, five daughters and three sons.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Pat on January 17, 2006; a grandson Tyson J. Tillman; a sister Josie Brown; and two brothers, Bill and Arnold Knapp.
He is survived by his three sons, Andy Knapp and his wife Jackie, Kevin Knapp and his wife Eliza and Tony Knapp and his wife Jackie all of Amarillo; five daughters, Teri Corbin and husband Noel of San Antonio, Kristi Knapp of Norman, OK, Karen Lang and her husband Bob of Dalhart, Kathy Jordan and her husband Wayne of Amarillo, and Melissa Hermes and her husband David of Lindsey; four sisters, Mildred Terricano of PA, Dorothy Lewis of NJ, and Eleanor Wrublerski of NV and Harriett Roy of AZ; twenty six grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren.
