Kenneth Wayne Waddell, 64, of Flower Mound, Texas, died Friday, October 14 after a long battle with Alzheimers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 17 in Brentwood Chapel at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Sherman Eastland, Chaplain will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Waddell was born on March 17, 1947, to Vernon Robert “Short” Waddell and Mary Ruth Berry Waddell of Amarillo. He was a commercial artist early in his career in Amarillo and later a small business owner of asbestos abatement and residential construction/renovation businesses in the Austin area. Kenneth was a loving father, son, and brother.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Waddell is survived by his son, A. Scott Waddell of Kansas City, Missouri; daughter-in law Delane Waddell; step-sons Jason Jones and Jeff Jones of Dallas; sisters, Sherry Hall of Flower Mound; Carolyn Waddell of Lewisville; and Kathy Hudson of Amarillo; brothers, John and Bryan Waddell both of Amarillo.
