Kenneth W. Wansley

Kenneth W. Wansley, 85, of Amarillo went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2018.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 30, 2018 at Hillside Christian Church West Campus Chapel, 6100 Soncy Rd. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Kenneth was born April 19, 1933 to John Wansley and Blanche Wallace. He served in the United States Navy and married Nancy Clarke on November 29, 1954. Kenneth worked as an Engineer with the railroad. He loved his wife above all and always had a way to make his family feel special.

He could fix anything and was a “go to” guy, he mentored others and made lifelong friends. Kenneth had a dry sense of humor, he loved to travel and spend time with his kids, grandkids and great-great grandkids. He enjoyed dancing, fishing and listening to country music.

Kenneth was funny and onery, gruff and sweet. He will be missed tremendously.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy J. Wansley; daughter, Deborah Joan Clary; and sisters, Bonnie and Maxine.

Kenneth is survived by daughters, Denise Bargas and husband, Henry and Joy VicMurray; 3 grandchildren, Blake, Kaci and Sarah; and great-grandchildren, Ashton, Carter and Faith.
