La Juana Huggins, 84 of Amarillo died April 25, 2015 in Amarillo.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 28th at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel at 10:00 AM. Dr. Roger Hubbard of Lake Tanglewood Community Church will officiate. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
La Juana was born March 19, 1931 in Tulia to Robert Lee and Willie Todd Ward. She grew up in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School in 1948. She then went on to graduate from West Texas State College with a BBA in 1952. In 1956 she married Don Huggins on June 16, 1956.
The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 until 7 pm.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Don Huggins on May 17, 2014.
She is survived by her son, Randall Huggins and his wife Johanna of Frisco, Texas; her sister Geraldine Brown also of Frisco; by her great niece Shawn Satre; and by a great nephew Shane Weiss.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1400 Wallace Blvd. Amarillo, Texas.
