Lavada Pelham, 83, of Amarillo, died May 26, 2012. Graveside Service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 29, 2012 in Llano Cemetery with Gemma Reyes, Chaplain at Odyssey Hospice officiating.
Lavada was born September 26, 1928 in Ravie, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life William “Bill” Pelham, on January 29, 1943. She was the sweetest woman, who cared for many and never met a stranger. Lavada adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed watching cooking shows.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Virgin Wallar, husband, Bill Pelham, and daughter Lana Barrett.
Survivors include, her daughter Elaine Pope and husband Larry of Henderson, AR, son in-law, Lewis Barrett and wife Sue of Amarillo, a sister, Maxine Dalton of Amarillo, her brother, Sonny Wallar of Amarillo, her grandchildren, Jason Barrett, Shanean Graham, Laci Elgin, Belinda Venhaus, and 7 Great-Grandchildren.
