Lena Mae Patterson

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday February 5, 2011 at Claude’s United Methodist Church in Claude, Texas with Pastor Janet Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Claude Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. The body will lie in state at Schooler Armstrong Chapel, Claude, Texas.The family will be at 306 Pratt St. Claude, Texas. Lena was born in Fannin County, Texas on April 24, 1917 to James Larkin Boles, and Nannie Margaret Dyer Boles. She attended school at McCraw Chapel, and in Windom, Texas,  Fannin County.  She married Clarence James Patterson in Bonham, Texas August 11, 1938. She has been a resident of Claude since 1938 where they raised their son, Ronald, and was a long time member of the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Lakeview Quilting club. Preceded in death by, her husband, Clarence James Patterson; her parents, James Lankin Boles, and Nannie Margaret Boles; two brothers, Jesse Weldon Boles and  James Newton Boles four sisters, Edna Holland, Kittie Metcalf, Lydia Sisco, and Ruth Watson.She is survived by her son, Ronald Patterson of Claude, Texas; two granddaughters, Tracy Schott and husband, Clay of Canyon, Texas, and Kim Keys and Stevan, of Panhandle, Texas; two great- granddaughters, Cheyann Schott of Canyon, Texas, and Lynzee Keys of Panhandle, Texas; three great grandsons, Cole Schott of Canyon, Texas, Spencer Keys, and Colt Keys of Panhandle, Texas; two brothers, James Lankin Boles Jr. of Greenville, Texas, and Herman Ray Boles of Duncanville, Texas; and numerous grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren.The family would like to express their gratitude to Canyon Health Care for their love and care for Lena for the past six years.
