Leo Velasquez, 86, of Amarillo passed away peacefully on Friday, October 23, 2015.
He was born November 27, 1928, in Canadian, to Pedro B. and Florencia P. Velasquez. Graduating in 1946, Leo served his country in the Army during the Korean crisis. His infectious smile and positive attitude filled the room anytime he was surrounded by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Leo not only loved spending time with his family at home, he also enjoyed traveling to Illinois to visit his wife’s family.
