Gaylon Nepper passed away January 23, 2014, in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Funeral Service will be 3:00 P.M., Saturday, January 25, 2014 at First Baptist Church in Groom, Texas with Rev. Andy Dietz officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo, Tx.
Gaylon was born on February 6, 1951 in Amarillo, to Leonard Hugo and Phyllis “Jackie” Nepper. He married Lenora Burgin on January 4, 1974 in Groom, Texas. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1969, WTSU in 1976 and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1991. He practiced anesthesiology in Liberal, KS; Brownwood, TX; and San Angelo, TX.
He liked radio controlled sailboats and salt water aquariums. He enjoyed spending time with his grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Lenora Nepper; a daughter, Kristi Westmoreland and grandson, Trevor of Lawton, OK; a son, John Nepper of Wichita Falls, TX; a sister, Cindy Babcock and husband, Gary of Groom, TX; a brother, Terry Nepper and wife, JoBeth of Canyon, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
