Leroy Alcala, Jr.

Leroy Alcala, Jr., 44, of Amarillo died January 11, 2020.

Viewing will be from 10:00 am-8:00 pm, Friday, January 17, 2020 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Power Church, 1344 SE 10th. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Leroy was born July 14, 1975 in Amarillo to Leroy Alcala, Sr. and Marie Pallares. He graduated from Caprock High School and attended Amarillo College. Leroy was a handsome man who was always willing to help anyone in need. He was an avid music lover with a great sense of humor. He was strong with a very competitive nature. Leroy loved sports, especially football where his favorite team was the San Francisco 49ers. Leroy was always happy to help relatives and friends with remodeling projects. He thrived on adventure and enjoyed hiking and camping at Palo Duro Canyon. Leroy was a member of Power Church and took pride in assisting members with the construction of the Altar.

He is preceded in death by his father, Leroy Alcala, Sr.; grandparents, Lan and Chole Solis and Sammy and Luz Alcala; his favorite uncle, Elser Zambrano and numerous family members.

Leroy is survived by his daughter, Tirza Alcala of Amarillo; 2 sons, Dominic Alcala and Alex Alcala of Amarillo; his mother, Marie Pallares and husband, Leonel of Amarillo; 2 sisters, Amanda Lamberson and husband, Loyd of Alabama and Aissa Pallares of Amarillo; and niece, Mia Faith Lamberson.
