MEMORIAL SERVICES will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM Rockwell Road Baptist Church. Dr. Paul Richardson will officiate. Private family burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia. Brother K Went home to be with his Lord, May 7, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. He was born April 19, 1937 in Enid, Okla to Clarence Leroy Kabetzke and Verna Sullivan Kabetzke.He graduated from Enid High School in 1955. He was Commander for a day of Vance Air Force Base in Enid, and also Mayor for a day of Enid and served in the Air Force Reserve. He married Melva Jane Combrink on May 20, 1956 at Garber, Oklahoma. To this union five children were born. Mark Gregory, Alvin Dale, Donald Wayne, Phillip Dean, and Hope Lynn Kabetzke Skinner. Bro. K was a charter member of Rockwell Road Baptist Church and a devoted Bus Worker and Sunday School teacher where he touched the lives of many. He and his wife did Rest Home Bible Studies in three rest homes for several years before his health began to fail.The family would like to thank the caring staff of BSA Hospice. A visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6 pm until 7:30 pm. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Alvin Eugene. His is lovingly survived by his wife with who he would’ve celebrated fifty-five years of marriage on May 20th; a daughter, Hope Lynn Skinner and husband David of Lewisville, TX; and four sons Mark of Amarillo, Alvin and his wife Vivian of Amarillo, Donald and his wife Vira of Grand Prairie, TX and Phillip Kabetzke of Enid, Oklahoma; and his nine precious grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family would like to suggest that memorials be made to Rockwall Road Baptist Church of BSA Hospice.
