Leslie Marie Frey, 60, of Amarillo, passed peacefully, surrounded by family, on December 15, 2024, at her home.
On Thursday, December 19, 2024, the family will hold an all-day viewing and visitation from 9 AM to 5 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Leslie was born in Amarillo on January 18, 1964, to her parents, Donald and Elizabeth Vinson. She graduated from Tascosa High School in 1982. Leslie married Jody Frey in Amarillo on December 24, 1986.
Leslie had an enormous heart for people and animals. She used her passion to serve clients at Johnson Animal Hospital, where she worked as a veterinary technician for six years. In addition to her love for animals, she enjoyed shopping, more so finding the best deals, playing bingo, listening to music, and preparing for the holidays. Her greatest accomplishment in life, though, was her family. She adored her family, especially her children and grandchildren, and was never happier than when surrounded by them.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Ray Vinson; an Aunt, Leota Fugitt; and a niece, Desiree Vinson.
Leslie is survived by her husband, Jody; her mother Elizabeth Harbin; her children, Danielle Massey and husband Steven, Brett Frey and wife Stefanie, Mendy Frey and husband, Andrew, and Brandon Ray; her brother, Charles Vinson and wife Rachel; sister. Kendra Fugitt; her best friend, Debbie Flowers; and by her ten beloved grandchildren.
Leslie’s family would like to send a special thanks to Harrington Cancer Center, BSA Hospice of the Southwest, and BSA Hospital for their love and care of Leslie.
