Leslie Allen Huntington of Amarillo died Wednesday, August 3, 2011.

Visitation will be Friday, August 5, 2011 from 6-7:30 P.M.  Memorial Service will be in Brentwood Chapel on Saturday at 2:00 P.M.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Leslie was born in Phillips, Texas, to Earl and Ruby Huntington September 3, 1944. He was a United States Army Veteran. He married his sweetheart, Ellen in 1970 and was employed at Asarco as a welder until his retirement.  He served as President of the Steel Workers Union.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen Huntington; a daughter, Dawn Schultz of Amarillo; two sons, Dean Schultz of Amarillo and Bryan Huntington; granddaughter, Desiree Schultz; 2 sisters, Amelia “Corky” Davis of Austin, Tommie Myers of Arlington;

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Leslie and Ruby Jewell Huntington and a sister, Sandra Kay Huntington.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to American Kidney Foundation, 6110 Executive Bldg, Suite 1010, Rockville, Maryland, 20852 and the American Diabetes Association, Potter/Randall Chapter, 8008 Slide Road #12A, Lubbock, Texas  79424.
