Glen was born December 19, 1929 in Shamrock to Robert and Carmon Terry. He graduated from Shamrock High School in 1947 and from Texas Tech in 1952 with a degree in Agriculture Engineering. He married Eura Lee “Dink” Burns on December 19, 1951 in Lela, Texas.
Mr. Terry was in the wholesale paint business. After his retirement, he moved to Angel Fire, New Mexico, where he volunteered with the Angel Fire Search & Rescue and the Guadalupita Fire Department. He enjoyed RC model air planes, dirt biking competitions, snow mobiling, snow skiing, water skiing, racquetball, and was a ham radio operator. Glen was a member of First Baptist Church of Amarillo.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother Bobby Terry and his wife, Jo; and three nephews, Wade Kidwell, Miles Henderson, and Tom Buckley.
Survivors include his wife Eura Lee “Dink” Terry; two daughters, Tomi Kerns and husband Ross of Amarillo, and Cristi VanLandingham and husband Jeffrey of Marietta, GA; two sons, Micheal Glen Terry of Spearman, and John Leslie Terry of Amarillo; one sister, Paula Jean Lambert and husband Don of Greenville, Mississippi; one brother, Jimmy Terry and wife Clara of Colfax, LA; seven grandchildren, Victoria Glyn, Kristen and husband, Josh, Adam and wife Cassie, Amy, Tyler, Michael, and Alexandra; one great-grandson, Lawson; ten nieces and 15 nephews.
