Lillie Davis, 81, of Amarillo died Friday, June 17, 2011.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Greater Love Temple with Rodney Wheeler, elder, officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.
Lillie Davis was born March 28, 1930, in Decatur to Rosevelt and Dora Johnson. She attended school in Decatur.
Lillie moved at a very early age to Plainview, where she met and married Earl Rosborough. Together, they had two daughters, Celestine Coone and Margaret Davis.
After his death, she moved to Dumas, where she worked for Ed Aylesworth and then for Rager Jones family for more than 50 years, where she then met Roy Davis.
Lillie married Roy in Dumas. She always had kids under her wing which she loved dearly; she was always there to help her grandchildren, nieces and nephews along with countless others.
Lillie had a generous, giving, loving heart and her door was always open to all no matter what. She will deeply be missed by all who had the honor of knowing such a beautiful woman.
She was preceded in death by her husband; five brothers; three sisters; and a daughter.
Survivors include a daughter Celestine of Amarillo; six siblings, Lee Anna Johnson and Maurice Johnson, both of Wichita Falls, Cora Alice Yarbrough and Bobby Johnson, both of Tulia, Lenious Johnson of Lubbock and Jackie Johnson of Temple; eight
