Linda Ruth Adkins, 67, of Amarillo died Wednesday, February 08, 2012.
Graveside Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 10, 2012 in Llano Cemetery with Dr. Stanley I. Adelman and Sam Silverman officiating
Linda was born March 7, 1944 to Charles and Dora Meech in Pampa. Mrs. Adkins graduated from Pampa High School. She married Allan Adkins June 22, 1968 in Amarillo. Linda was an especially talented young musician. She attended Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, majoring in oboe and piano. A person of limitless interests, she also studied to be a real estate agent, a travel agent, a laboratory technician, and owned and operated a hobby ceramics store in Amarillo. Privately, she studied the Hebrew language, and most recently, quantum physics and mechanics, and outer space.
Survivors include her husband, Allan of Amarillo, her daughters, Amy Dixon and husband Philip and Katy Gerben all of Orlando, Florida, and six Grandchildren Sage, Coral, Iris, Clay, Andrew, and Scott.
The family suggests memorials be made to: Temple B’Nai Israel 4316 Albert Ave., Amarillo, Texas 79106.
