Linda "Sue" (Addison) Brown

Linda “Sue” Brown, age 74 died January 30, 2022 in Amarillo.

A graveside inurnment service will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.

Sue was born December 15, 1947 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Raymond and Fern Wood Addison.  She moved to Amarillo with her family in 1962 and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1965. She married the love of her life, Earl Brown in Amarillo on January 7, 1966, a marriage that would span the next fifty six years.

She had a kind and gentle spirit.  Sue was empathetic and a care giver by nature, and she was especially drawn to animals.  She would care for every stray or homeless creature that crossed her path and she always was contributing to several animal charities. Perhaps the only thing she was more passionate about then animals was her family and friends.  She loved them fiercely.

Always a woman who enjoyed the simple things, Sue liked working in her flower garden and enjoying the twinkling lights at Christmas time, her favorite time of the year. There wasn’t anything she cherished more than simply spending time with those she loved.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents and by a sister, Ramona Collins.

She is survived by her husband Earl; her son, Danny Paul Brown and his wife Laura of Amarillo; two sisters, Mary Kay Green of Fritch and Carla Addison of Amarillo; her step-father Bill McCamon and his wife Joan McCamon of Amarillo; and her two grandchildren, Anthony Johnson of Amarillo and Brandon Brown and his wife Lindsey Brown of Amarillo.
