She married her soul mate and the love of her life, Dr. Andrew Stenhouse on December 23, 1976 in Hydro, Oklahoma. Mrs. Stenhouse Graduate Tascosa High School, Class of ‘65. She was Employed by the American Quarter Horse Association during the ‘60’s and 70’s. She was a Member of the Junior League of Amarillo, TX and Member of The Panhandle Plains Historical Association. She was also a member of the Potter and Randall County Medical Auxiliary and was actively involved at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. She also was involved in many charitable and service organizations. Linda was very instrumental in getting Texas seat belt laws passed for both children and adults. As a child, Mrs.Stenhouse was brought up in a loving family and cherished her big sisters. The 3 girls were taught to love Jesus at a very early age and that love was the foundation for her life. She was active and taught many Sunday School classes. After she married her soul mate, the foundation of love continued to blossom and grow in the Lord. She and her husband led many home life groups while they were members at Trinity Fellowship Church. They also served as elders at Believer’s Way Church, therefore having the opportunity to be able to pass on all of the many amazing gifts and treasures that God had placed in her life. At the time of her promotion into her heavenly home, she was a member of More Church in Amarillo. Mrs. Stenhouse loved cooking and baking and would have much rather given to others and made their day than receiving anything for herself. She always made sure that everyone had more than enough nourishment and care. She was known for being “self contained” in any situation. She had a talent like none other to be able to make an empty shell of a building into the most beautifully decorated home. She also had a special love for her cardinals and all of the many birds and squirrels enjoyed her never ending food supply. She loved to travel with her family and actually perfected the art of making a “proper” cup of Scottish tea in her native Texas. She cherished the many adventures that she and her baby girl were blessed to have. And she was the best Gramby to her 2 “grand-dogs”. Mrs. Stenhouse was loved and cherished by all of the people she is leaving behind. She had never met a stranger and made all that came across the pathway of her joyous journey feel loved and accepted. Her smile simply lifted any ones spirits and will permantly leave a mark and memory on our hearts and lives.
