Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 15th at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Hector Madrigal will officiate. Burial will be held immediately following at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.Lino was born on January 8, 1928 to Rumaldo and Frances (Torres) Salas in Capulin, New Mexico. He was a very musical person. He loved to play his guitar and sing, whenever he was given the opportunity. Lino was also an avid crossword puzzle solver, it was a way for him to relax and a joy for him to solve them. He loved all his grandchildren generously and they referred to him in love as “G” or “gramps”. Lino also enjoyed the company of “Pepe” his canine Chihuahua companion. Lino served his country in the United States Army. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him and shared his life. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Juanita; and his two brothers, Richard Salas and Bennie Salas.Survivors include his 6 children, Angie Arriaga and husband, Marcos, Max Martinez and wife, Sue, Pat Harrison and husband, Kirk all of Amarillo, TX, Sofia Salas of Muleshoe, TX, Virginia Martinez of Odessa, TX, and Vivian Hall and husband, Charles of Sunray, TX; his brothers, Max Salas and wife, Connie of Clayton, NM, Edward Salas and wife, Mary Ann of El Paso, TX, Ernest Salas and wife, Josie of Greenriver, WY; his sisters, Esmeralda Maynes of Clayton, NM, and Mary Vigil of Denver, CO; Also he is survived by his 35 grandchildren and his 49 great – grandchildren. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday, February 14th, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
