Lisa Lynn Anderson “Lisy,” age 52, of Amarillo, was unexpectedly called home on June 28, 2023.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Lisa was born on August 2, 1970, in Hereford, Texas, to her parents, Morris Glenn Anderson Jr and Joyce Ann Johnson Anderson. She attended high school in Louisiana, graduating with honors. She briefly attended LSU before moving to Amarillo.
Once in Amarillo, Lisa graduated with an Associate in Psychology from Amarillo College. She was exceptionally brilliant and had a gift for retaining knowledge.
Lisa enjoyed relaxing and watching scary movies alongside her best friend and love, Chrystal. The couple were married in November 2019. Lisa cherished time spent with family, friends, and her puppies.
A talented writer, Lisa wrote several award-winning stories. She had a knack for creating beautifully written words. Lisa had a heart of gold. She was kind and inclusive of all, treating all people with kindness and love. She had a beautiful soul, and her presence will be greatly missed.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her wife, Chrystal Pettit; Chrystal’s parents, Rod and Terry Ford and her grandmother, Helen Charter; Lisa’s three sisters, Deborah Elliott- Upton and her husband Ricky, Sue Warren and her husband Lyndel, and Connie Krenning and her husband Charles; her brother, Howard Elliott Jr and his wife Heidi; her daughters of heart, Braley Beck and Ariel Garcia; and her fur-babies, Dakota Hope and Panda Bear.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to ASPCA or a local animal shelter
