Lola Mae Strickland Osborne Mullen, 90, of Amarillo, died Friday, September 30, 2011. Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 6, 2011 in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel with Jerry Bell, Chaplain at Park Central Retirement Community officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Lola was born July 27, 1921 in Anadarko, OK to William and Georgia (Hanger) Strickland. She married Floyd Osborne October 31, 1944, he preceded her in death June 27, 1955. She later married George Mullen, Jr. July 7, 1958, he preceded her in death December 12, 2006. Lola was a 30 plus year member of KOPS and a Rebekah. She loved to garden and cook for the family. She also loved to dig for sapphires and hunt for gold for many years with her husband George.
She was preceded in death by her husbands. Floyd Osborne and George Mullen, Jr., her parents William and Georgia Strickland, her sister Billie Joe Strickland, her brother Roy Strickland and her sister Bernice Sensintaffer.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Debbie) Osborne Dunlap and husband Bill of Amarillo, sister Emma Lou Lamar of Broken Arrow, OK, two grandchildren Mike Dunlap of Amarillo and Travis Dunlap and wife Casey of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other family members. She touched many people in her life and was a dear friend to all. She is also survived by her two special “granddoggies” Ranger and Kaylee.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 6:30 to 7:30 at the funeral home.
