Lorain Maxine Bixler 84, of Amarillo, passed away November 3, 2014 in Amarillo.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor Nate Magloughlin officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S Georgia, Amarillo, TX.

Lorain was born on November 2, 1930 in Waynoka, Oklahoma to Bert and Margaret Gadberry. Lorain graduated from Waynoka High School. She married Kenneth Bixler on October 16, 1949. They moved to Amarillo in 1971. She was a loving wife, mom, and grandmother. Family was her priority; she had a servant’s heart, and was “Supermom”.
She was a member of the Eastern Star for more than 65 years, and a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha participating in fund raisers for St. Jude.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, a sister Mary Ellen and her parents.

Survivors include her sons Stacey and wife Holly of Hereford, Pat and wife Paige of Lubbock, Danny and wife Kristie of Canyon, and Tim and wife Becky of Slaton; a sister Karen Porter of Dallas; ten grandchildren, Stephanie Hansen, Michelle Bixler, Meghan Grimm, Pace Bixler, Taylor Bixler, Grey Bixler, Brian Lutrick, Danny Lutrick, Brad Bixler, and Alli Bixler; eight great-grandchildren, Peyton Grimm, Jayce Lutrick, Caden Hansen, Bailian Bixler, Houston Grimm, Brooklyn Hansen, Kenneth Bixler, and Hazel Bixler.

Family will receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 5, at the funeral home.
