Lottie Pearl Burk

August 17, 1913 — May 21, 2009

Lottie was born August 17, 1913 in San Saba County, Texas to Joe and Maggie Kyzar. She met Leon Burk and they married on Dec. 20, 1936. They remained in that area involved in ranching throughout their life.
During her life, Lottie worked for Hemphill-Wells, Montgomery Wards, Armor Hardware and was a beautician for many years. She was a room mother for her sons at school, helped at the Eden Library and served many years as an election judge.
Lottie never met a stranger. She was a “second mom” to a number of young people. She was a member of the Church of Christ and was a faithful Christian, and an honest and caring person.
She is preceded in death by her husband Leon in 1991, her mother Maggie Kyzar, her father and stepmother, Joe and Elma Kyzar, and her oldest son, Robert “Bob” Burk.
She is survived by Charles “Buck” Burk and wife Kay and one sister, Nelle Hewitt of Brownwood, Texas, many nieces and nephews and numerous special friends.
