Louise Barber

Louise Barber, 88, of Amarillo died February 16, 2021.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Trinity Baptist Church, 1601 I-40. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Louise was born on October 18, 1932 in Matoy, Oklahoma. She was the 5th child of 6 children born to Ernest and Irene Cobb.  She married Edd Barber on June 20, 1953 in Amarillo.

She is survived by their son, Ronnie Barber and his wife Debbie, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked at Ridgecrest Elementary for 15 years and taught Sunday School because of her love for children. She was a cheerful, fun-loving lady who was full of life. Her smile could light up a room and it was infectious. She made everyone around her happy. Whether it was a funny joke or her big smile, she was a delight to be around.
