Louise Conley

Louise “Miz” Conley of Lake Tanglewood passed surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Lake Tanglewood Community Church.

Louise was born on March 20, 1943, in Dalhart, Texas, to Ray and Catherine Koehler. She married Benny Conley on April 16, 1988. 

Louise raised her children, Trey and Cristi, in Dalhart, Texas, where her family has deep roots and she developed lifelong friendships. When she moved to Amarillo, Perryton, and Lake Tanglewood, people were drawn to her smile, her laugh, and the fun that always followed her. She developed loving and deep friendships in every community where she lived. Always the life of the party, Louise’s humor, and onery demeanor made all gatherings more fun and memorable. 

Her children and grandsons were her greatest joy. 

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Conley and most recently, her sister, Mary Schooler.

She is survived by daughter, Cristi Trammell of Amarillo, TX; son, Trey Trammell and wife, Lori of Austin, TX. Grandsons, Tyler Trammell and girlfriend Morgan, Shayde Trammell; granddaughter, Brittnee Carlton; Sister Joan Graham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Heal the City, 609 S. Carolina St., Amarillo, Texas 79106, or Downtown Women’s Center, 409 S. Monroe Street, Amarillo, Texas 79101.
