Louise Hollenstein, 95, of Amarillo died January 23, 2014.
Rosary Service will be at 5:00 PM Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 26, 2015 at St. Hyacinth’s Catholic Church with Rev. James Schmitmeyer, officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, January 27, in Rest Lawn Cemetery, Hereford. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Louise was born on November 27, 1919 in Nazareth, Texas to Louis and Anna Huseman. She married Herman Hollenstein on October 27, 1941 in Nazareth.
She retired from JCPenney in Hereford after 28 years. She was a devout Catholic and has been a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Hereford and also at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Canyon.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman Hollenstein; a son, Gerald Hollenstein; a grandson, Joel Hollenstein; two sisters and five brothers.
She is survived by a daughter, Patsy Fillpot of Burleson; a son, Billy Hollenstein and wife, Laura of Amarillo; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
