Lowell C. McKown, 67, of Amarillo died, December 30, 2014.
Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Hillside Christian Church with officiating.
Lowell was born May 1, 1947 in Memphis to Lowell Lynn and Marguerite McKown. He graduated from Memphis High School in 1965. He earned a BS in History and a BS in English at West Texas State University. Lowell worked in marketing for the Amarillo Globe News for 27 years and was currently working in marketing for the Amarillo Bulls.
His favorite thing to do was drink coffee with his buddies at Henry D’s. He also enjoyed attending West Texas State University football games.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Lowell is survived by his brother, Ken McKown and wife, Lyndi; and two nephews, Justin Lynn McKown and wife Ashley and Cameron Joseph McKown, all of Amarillo.
Family suggest memorials be made to Hillside Christian Church.
