Lowell was born February 26, 1932, to Eunice and Lemuiel Vanover in Nacogdoches, Texas.
He will always be remembered as a good man. Lowell was a great dad, granddad, and provider. He always gave the best daddy hugs. Lowell loved deeply and genuinely. His priority was always to take care of his wife and his children. He has done his best to do that even after his death. He was a great soul and a servant of God.
Lowell enjoyed the outdoors, the birds, the squirrels, and nature in general. He built a canoe but never finished it for fishing. He enjoyed the bow and arrow; he would search and make the arrow points himself. Lowell was proud of his Indian heritage.
He was a firefighter for the City of Amarillo from 1959-1987. After retiring, Lowell also worked 15 years working as CHV Drapery Installers.
His hands were talented and hardworking; he could fix just about anything. If he was given something broken and it couldn’t be fixed, it couldn’t be fixed. Not only could he fix anything, but Lowell was also a very talented artist. From paintings and wood carvings to bronzes. He could play and restore any instrument with strings. His music of choice was Bluegrass, and although he could play any instrument, his instrument of choice was the mandolin.
Lowell is preceded in death by his parents and all his siblings.
