Lynda Dickey Madrigal, 67 of Amarillo went home to be with her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Rosary service will be at 1:15 Friday July 9th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral mass to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Monsignor Rex Nicholl officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery East. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home at 4100 S. Georgia Amarillo, Texas.Lynda was born March 16, 1943 in Idabel, Oklahoma to Perry and Letha Dickey. She attended Wayland Baptist College and West Texas University. During her lifetime she taught organ and piano at Mrs. Glenn’s Conservatory of Music in Amarillo, later teaching private piano and holding a weekly Bible study class in her home. Lynda was also very artistic and enjoyed drawing, painting, interior decorating and sewing. She made over 250 dresses for children in African orphanages. Herman Luera and Lynda taught RCIA classes for several years at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Glenn Howard Madrigal and a sister June Dickey Montgomery. She is survived by her very special friend Herman Luera; brother Perry Dickey, Jr. and wife Mary of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; three sisters, Virgina Mason and husband Cliff, Pauline Hite, Jane Hall and husband Jim, all of Amarillo. She is also survived by two nieces Kim Hite and Lisa Dickey and five nephews, Perry Dickey III, Billy Joe Hite Jr., Steve Hite, Kevin Hite, Matt Dickey and several grand nieces and nephews.
